AC At The 2011 HRD Conference

Tuesday, April 19, 2011

The 2011 HRD conference and exhibition was a great success with over 60 speakers, hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of delegates filling the beautiful domed hall at London’s Olympia. Appreciating Change were at the forefront of the both the conference and the exhibition, with Sarah delivering a speech on the effectiveness of positive psychology to create change, signing copies of her latest book ‘Positive Psychology at Work’ and chatting on one of the busiest stands in the exhibition.

The stand played host not just to Appreciating Change’s team of specialist associates, who chatted with over 100 interested delegates throughout the two days, but also to a steady stream of people interested in buying copies of both ‘Positive Psychology at Work’ and ‘Appreciative Inquiry for Change Management’. The AC team consisted of Steve Lorraine (public sector change), Deborah Barleggs (Head of Coaching), Jacquie Brazier (career development), Gill Lambert (finance for non-financial managers) and of course Sarah herself. All of them would like to thank all those who came and spoke to them over the two days for a stimulating (if occasionally exhausting!) experience.

Special Congratulations

An extra special mention goes to those who entered the prize draws to win copies of the books on sale. Unfortunately there  could only be three winners, all of whom were chosen by independent people we managed to rope in (see Exhibition Sales Executive Laura Westlake  picking one of the winners in the picture above, along with Steve and Sarah). The lucky winners were Ellie Cannell, Andrew Johnson and Pauline Ehonjie, congratulations to you all!
